ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE RNUD
The Rwanda National Union of the Deaf (RNUD) Organizational Structure is subdivised in three main parts but working together :
- a)Annual General Assembly(AGA)
- b)Board of Directors
- c)Executive Secretariat

The Annual General Assembly (AGA) : This is the supreme governance organ for the organization and comprises all Deaf and hard of Hearing people around the country. It meets annually to play a strategic oversight role, They approve organizational policies, deliberate on issues of strategic importance and holds the Board and Management accountable for agreed decisions.
Board of Directors : The Board of Directors is the second governance organ of the organization. It is composed of 6 members who are directly elected in AGA. The Board supervises the Executive Secretariat and ensures that decisions and policy proposals made at the AGA are reasonably implemented. The Board normally meets twice a year, unless an extraordinary meeting is convened.
The board consists of 6 members : Chairperson, Vice- Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Women Representative, and Youth Representative. Youtth representative is also RNUDYS (Rwanda National Union of the Deaf Youth Section) President.
The board members are elected by the General Assembly and serve a term of 5 years. Board members can serve a maximum of two terms.
Executive Secretariat : The Executive Secretariat is the Executive Staff team which works under the direct supervision of the Governing Board (Board of Directors). This organ of RNUD is headed by the Executive Director. The Executive Secretariat is charged with the implementation of daily activities of the organization.
The RNUD Executive Secretariat reports to the Board of Directors.
